Francis Dixon is a multi-instrumentalist meaning he can play acoustic guitar, electric, piano, bass, percussion. Your songs can be anywhere from acoustic records to full pop song productions.​

Francis has not only written his own songs, but written songs sung by his church as well as lead songwriting classes for bible colleges and workshops. ​Whether you're looking for the best lyrics for your song or a catchy melody, Francis will be able to help.

Splice is a sample library of high-end professionally record sounds from drums and bass, to synths and guitars. At Grace Abbey Studios, we are looking to make the best song possible, whether that means doing live recordings, pulling from a loop library, or diving into the Splice Sample library to build the next best drum beat.

In order to get your music streaming to the world, we need to use a third party software service such as CDBaby or Landr. We do our best to schedule your music for a specific date, giving you time to market the release of your song to friends, family, neighbors and the world.​ Part of your subscription will also mean Grace Abbey Studios will act as A&R for subscribers which means building out schedules for music releases, helping you choose the right songs to release, order of songs, time spent on each song, production choices.

Once a song is recorded and produced (production is the choices made during recording for arrangement, adding sounds, and overall feel of the song) it needs to be mixed and mastered. This is the art of ensuring all the sounds are heard, are at a good level, and essentially play nice with each other before your music gets released.

This is one of the reasons we can keep our subscriptions costs so low. When a song gets released to the world, the artist pays royalties to all contributors including the label, producers, song writers, distributors, mixers and mastering engineers. Grace Abbey Studios collects royalties in one % total for all of these service with the exception of the "distributor". Third Party Distrbution service collect their own royalties as part of managing the on-going world wide release of your song.

To get the best vocal productions on final mixes it is necessary to spend in-person time with each artist. The Hobbiest and Semi-Pro plans include in-studio time as necessary. What this means is that as songs are completed and ready for release we will book some time in studio primarily for final vocals and is not necessarily something that will happen monthly. SPECIAL NOTE Some artist may have recording systems which they can record their own vocal to send in. In these cases additional Landr Sessions will take the place of in-studio time at no extra cost as we produce and mix your vocals tracks into the song(s). Can we record in my home? Yes, Grace Abbey Studios is fully capable of going on the road and we can travel to you to record final vocals from your home, church, etc. Travel costs Travel costs are NOT included in monthly payments as it is not required for individuals. Travel costs include mileage, hotels, flights (where required) and meals. Travel costs are calculated at the time of travel. Actual recording time with the artist is included in the monthly fee. The purpose of Grace Abbey is to provide an affordabel way to record records remotely. For most people not wishing to come to the studio, and would prefer to not pay for travel costs, we can provide you affordable recommendation on how to get yourself set up to record your own vocals from home on a budget. To be honest, for most people, the cost to purchase an inexpensive mic and recording set up would more than pay for itself in travel costs. Setting yourself up to record will not replace the years of experience you get working with Grace Abbey Studios, but will allow you to get final vocal takes on your own, and will allow you to create rough demo in the future. We will help you purchase the best options for you as well as how to set up your recordings at home to get the absolute best vocal take with recommendations on proper leveling, EQ, Compression, Room Treatment, Mic techniques and more. Investing in your own set up will save you money on travel and time. We always enjoying working with artists in person, but again, our goal is to help you make music that is affordable while still gaining all the benefits of having a producer, engineer, songwriter and friend along the journey with you.

As already mentioned, Francis has written a song a day for nearly 15 years, many of these songs have gone into a demo library ear marked for other artists. Grace Abbey Record subscribers will have access to this song library if they wish to inspire new ideas, or utilize the demo's to write their own songs with. Artist can also choose to make a demo song their own. Almost all songs in the industry are written for artist by other people. Seperate terms & conditions for artists wishing to own a demo song will be agreed upon per/song basis including seperate royalty agreements

For Grace Abbey Record subscribers, it is expected on this plan that your goal is to write enough songs for a full album. Upon initial subscription you may have enough songs for an EP and it is our goal to work with you to write additional songs to add to your album. During your monthly sessions you will get to work with Francis to craft brand new songs from scratch that fit your tone, your voice, your story and your emotions for your album release.
